Our Story
Rob Willis is a professional photographer and experienced drone pilot, offering a unique perspective on every project. With a background in the construction industry spanning 35 years, Rob brings a wealth of knowledge to building and roof surveys for both professional and domestic clients. His passion for photography began in 2018 and quickly grew into a commitment to capture powerful images that tell a story.

Rob’s love for flying also plays a key role in his work. Currently undergoing PPL training, he combines his creative vision with a passion for aviation to offer aerial photography alongside traditional services. After a motocross accident led him to transition from the construction industry, Rob embraced his creative side, founding a new venture in photography.

Since its inception, Robert Willis Photography & Videography has collaborated with a variety of clients, including Calne Town Council, Beversbrook Sports Facility, Friends of Marden Valley, The Lions, North Wilts Golf Club, and St. Mary’s Church. The business provides a wide range of services, from corporate and commercial photography and videography to domestic projects, including aerial imagery.

After 35 years in the construction industry, my passion for photography and aviation led me to obtain my CAA A2 CofC Drone Operators licence, allowing me to explore aerial photography.

This qualification enables me to offer a full range of photography and videography services, using my Canon R3 & R6 for stills and video, alongside my DJI drones for aerial work.
​
I specialise in stills photography, capturing anything that catches my eye. From candid moments to the beauty in everyday scenes, my approach is all about preserving the genuine emotion and atmosphere of each subject. If I can see it, I can capture it, bringing life's fleeting moments into lasting images.

Whether it’s a wedding, a family celebration, or a corporate event, I aim to create timeless images that tell a story, showcasing the genuine connections and memories that make each moment unforgettable.

I have a background in residential property, but my true passion has always been in the creative arts.

Art has been a significant influence throughout my life, inspiring me with its freedom of expression and the ability to tell powerful stories through imagery.

My artistic eye and attention to detail bring a unique perspective to the business. I designed the logo and created the website, ensuring the business’s visual identity reflects its creative ethos.
​
Additionally, I serve as an extra camera operator when needed, offering my creative input and assisting on the shoot.
Our Drones
Our Drone Operators are CAA A2 CofC qualified 'Drone Safe Register' Drone pilots. Before every flight, we carry out a thorough risk assessment and are fully insured, ensuring that you are in safe hands.

We use state-of-the-art DJI drones to capture high-quality aerial images and videos. Our current drone fleet includes the DJI Mini 3 Pro, DJI Mavic 3 Cine, and DJI Avata 2.

We will discuss your specific requirements and choose the most suitable drone based on the brief, location, and environment to deliver the best results.

As with all forms of aviation, the weather is both our friend and our enemy, so there may be occasions when we need to reschedule site visits due to weather conditions on the day.

We use various planning applications to monitor weather systems and no-fly zones, ensuring that we are well-prepared for each flight.
If your project falls within a no-fly zone, there may be a delay as we seek permission from the relevant air traffic control services.
